UPDATE: as of March, 2026, I’ve COMPLETELY changed my plans. I will be hiking the Central Portuguese route from Porto to Santiago. I wanted to leave this original post as I originally wrote it just to remind myself of the thought process I went thru for the trip. Here is the original post:

To celebrate my 10th Camino-versary, I’m planning on hiking El Camino De Santiago following the same route I took in 2016 when I hiked from St Jean Pied du Port, France to Santiago, Spain.
My plan is to fly to Paris in late April, 2026 and arrive in Santiago 5 weeks later. As plans evolve, I’ll fine tune the schedule and make some important decisions.
I’ve begun the preliminary planning phases, arranged for a house and dog sitter, purchased some new hiking clothes to try out and pulled some old friends out of storage, like my backpack and hiking poles.
